Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of SoloHours. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. Service description

SoloHours is a hosted time-tracking and reporting application for freelancers and solo professionals. The service includes client and project management, timer and manual time entries, billable and non-billable tracking, invoicing status tracking, report generation, and export functionality, subject to plan limits.

2. Eligibility and account security

You represent that you are legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use SoloHours on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate, protecting your login credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use SoloHours for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or service-disruptive activity. You may not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the platform, reverse engineer the service except as permitted by law, or use SoloHours in a way that infringes the rights of others.

4. Plan limits and feature access

Plan tiers determine feature access and usage limits. Certain functionality, including active time tracking, may require an active paid subscription. Use beyond plan limits may be restricted. If your subscription expires, is canceled, or fails to renew, paid features may be suspended.

5. Upgrades and downgrades

Subscription upgrades and downgrades are processed through Paddle and may be prorated in accordance with Paddle’s billing rules and applicable law. We may apply plan changes immediately or at the next billing cycle, as shown during the change process.

6. Billing and subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are processed through Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record. Subscription renewals, taxes, invoicing, payment processing, and cancellation handling are managed under Paddle’s terms. SoloHours does not store full payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next renewal date.

7. Refund policy

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, payments and refunds are processed through Paddle. Customers may request a refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase, subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and applicable refund eligibility requirements. Refund requests must be submitted through Paddle support channels.

8. Customer data and records

You are solely responsible for the legality, integrity, and accuracy of all data submitted to SoloHours, including time entries, task descriptions, rates, billable flags, and invoicing status. SoloHours provides recordkeeping and reporting tools and does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice.

9. Third-party services

SoloHours relies on third-party services for billing, email delivery, analytics, hosting, infrastructure, and security. We are not liable for failures or delays caused by third-party outages, rate limits, network interruptions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

10. Availability

SoloHours is provided without a service level agreement, uptime guarantee, or service credits. Planned and unplanned maintenance, outages, and interruptions may occur.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to enforce these Terms, protect the service, respond to legal requirements, or prevent abuse. You may stop using SoloHours at any time and may request account deletion through account settings. Account deletion may cancel active subscriptions and remove service data, subject to legal, tax, audit, and billing record retention requirements.

12. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoloHours is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoloHours and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SoloHours and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your submitted data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, excluding conflict-of-law principles. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through the contact channel below.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms become effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use of SoloHours after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
