Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SoloHours collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal and service-related data in connection with our website and time-tracking service.

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. Personal data we collect

SoloHours collects limited personal data required to operate the service, including your name, email address, IP address, account profile details, and technical or session metadata such as timestamps, browser or device attributes, and session identifiers. Billing-related identifiers may also be processed in connection with Paddle as Merchant of Record.

2. Service data

We process the data you create in SoloHours to provide the service, including clients, projects, time entries, billable and non-billable status, invoiced and uninvoiced status, task descriptions, report filters, and export-related records.

3. How we use data

We use data to provide and improve SoloHours, manage subscriptions and account access, send service communications such as authentication and account notices, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, and maintain platform security and operational integrity. We do not sell personal data.

4. Third-party providers

SoloHours uses third-party providers to operate the service, including analytics providers such as Google Analytics, hosting and infrastructure providers, email delivery providers, and anti-abuse tools such as Cloudflare Turnstile for contact forms.

5. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You may also request account deletion through account settings or by contacting support.

6. Data retention

We retain data as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. Account data is retained while your account is active. Time-tracking and reporting records may be retained according to plan access and operational requirements. Billing and invoice records may be retained for compliance, audit, and tax purposes. Technical and session data may be retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

7. Security

SoloHours applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions become effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use of SoloHours after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.

9. Account and support information

We process account registration details and support communications submitted through contact forms or support channels to manage accounts, resolve issues, and maintain service operations.

10. Billing information

Subscription status, selected plan, and billing-related identifiers are processed to manage plan access and account entitlements. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and processes payment transactions under Paddle’s policies. We also record plan changes to maintain accurate account access and support history.

11. Account deletion

When you request account deletion, we remove or anonymize profile and application data within a reasonable period, subject to operational and legal requirements. Certain records, including invoices, payment confirmations, and compliance logs, may be retained where required.

12. Technical and usage data

SoloHours may process metadata such as IP addresses, user-agent strings, timestamps, and session or authentication information for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service integrity.

13. Cookies and sessions

SoloHours uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain authenticated sessions, provide core functionality, and protect against abuse.

14. International data processing

Personal data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence depending on our infrastructure and service providers. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international data transfers.
